Situated just one block from the ocean, this residence required exquisite attention to every detail. We provided motorized shading, a lighting & shading control system, audio/video, access control, networking, and home automation.

The shading design was the highlight of the services we provided, with the goals of (1) creating privacy for the homeowners while preserving their view and (2) keeping the feeling of the home very open and uncluttered. The dark sheer solar fabric selected for the shades allows the homeowners to enjoy their views out to the ocean while screening the view into the residence. Having the shades controlled from easily accessible keypads makes it simple to lower or open the shades as desired.

To minimize the visual impact when the shades are not in use, we utilized custom shade pockets in many locations. Roller shades are tucked into recessed pockets so they disappear completely when open. We took special care wherever windows met at a corner, stacking and offsetting the shade rollers in the pockets to ensure the gap between shades is as small as it can be.
